Braudel Internship
Activities
• Revising and checking French-to-English translations against the original, suggesting reformulations where necessary
• Copyediting translated texts, harmonizing notes and references, and applying the journal’s stylesheet (based on the Chicago Manual of Style)
• Coordinating the different stages of revision and validation with authors and translators
• Participating in the checking of proofs (and potentially in the typesetting of articles, with the opportunity to attend training sessions on the production process if desired)
Profile
• Perfect fluency in English (first language or equivalent) with an excellent command of French
• Specialization in the humanities or social sciences
• Familiarity with the conventions and norms of English-language academic writing (especially the Chicago Manual of Style)
• An eye for detail and an excellent grasp of English grammar
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Intellectual curiosity and organizational skills
To be eligible, candidates will need to be enrolled in a postgraducte study programme (master or PhD).
